The Chronic Pain Couple™ Workshops

Sunshine Coast

We know chronic pain and fatigue impacts many areas of our lives, but when it starts to affect our most intimate relationship and puts us on a different path to the life we planned with our chosen human, what do we do?

At The Chronic Pain Couple, we offer a unique relationship intervention which combines the latest pain science with psychological and relationship strategies. Our programs are designed to improve couples’ problem-solving and communication related to chronic pain while providing practical strategies for enhancing physical and emotional intimacy. Our approach also helps partners individually thrive in-spite of the changes and uncertainties of chronic pain.

We often hear couples say they have tried couples counselling, sex therapy or are simply waiting for the next treatment to work to get back the life they had before a partner started to experience chronic pain, chronic illness or fatigue. But there are fatigue-friendly hacks, practical solutions and researched strategies that inject joy and remove stress that couples all over the world are finding success with in our programs.

Over 4 weekly sessions, couples master the areas of: Getting on the Same Team, Communication, Mental Health, Intimacy & A New Normal

Research shows a partner with persistent pain can cause a decline in relationship satisfaction, an increase in home-life stressors and put both partners at risk of serious mental health problems. Yikes.
